NEedle and THread 101

16-week Semester

January 18th - May 9th

Ages 8+, Grades 3-12

Students will develop basic hand stitching and sewing machine skills.

The beginning Needle and Thread students must be able to read and interpret written directions. They will have an opportunity to make various projects by hand and machine. This class is structured for a beginner sewer.

Needle and Thread 102:

intermediate-1 year experience Preferred

16-week Semester

January 18th - May 9th

Ages 8+, Grades 3-12

Building upon acquired knowledge, students will continue to increase their sewing machine skills.

For students who have completed at least 1 year of sewing. They need the ability to thread a machine, load a bobbin, understand sewing terminology, and do basic hand stitches. Students need to know how to keep a seam allowance, and sew a corner by machine “drop and pivot” (can drop the needle, lift the presser foot, and turn the fabric).
